Shipping address validation in Customer Portal
Our shipping address validation feature automatically checks U.S. shipping addresses when customers edit their information in the Customer Portal. This article will give you an overview of this feature.

How shipping address validation works in Customer Portal
When your customers edit their shipping address with incorrect information or leave an address field blank in Customer Portal, an error will be displayed in the "Change Shipping Address" modal.
The shipping address validation verifies the following information:
- Incorrect street address, street number, city, state/province, and postal/zip code.
- Missing street address, street number, city, postal/zip code
How we verify shipping addresses
We use Google Maps API to verify US shipping addresses.
We use our own validation system to check for missing required fields.
Note: Shipping address validation is currently only available for United States shipping addresses.
