Editing a fulfilled order in Cleverific
You can edit fulfilled orders in Cleverific's Advanced Mode. Cleverific will copy the fulfillment status on your edited order. This article will explain what happens when you edit a fulfilled product or when you perform other edits on a fulfilled order. It will also address how third-party fulfillment services are handled.
Edit fulfilled products
Note: If you just fulfilled your order in Shopify, it might take a few seconds for your products to appear as fulfilled in Cleverific. Please allow some time before opening your order in Cleverific, so the fulfillment can be reflected.
Fulfilled products will automatically become unfulfilled if:
- You change the product variant in Cleverific
- You modify the product's line item properties (product customization).
Note: The product with the modified line item properties will only appear unfulfilled on your Shopify order page after you've saved your edits.
Additional edits to a fulfilled order
Newly added products to your fulfilled order will be added as unfulfilled products on your order page.
If you increase the quantity of a fulfilled product, this additional quantity will be added to your order as an unfulfilled product.
Any other edits won't affect the fulfillment status of your order.
Important note about third-party fulfillment services
Due to a Shopify API change, Cleverific can no longer create fulfillments for orders or products assigned to locations managed by other fulfillment service apps.
This means that if you edit an order originally fulfilled by a third-party fulfillment service, the fulfillment won't carry over to the edited order. You’ll need to manually request fulfillment again after saving your edits.
Upon saving your changes, you’ll see a success message letting you know about the items that should be fulfilled again.
