Automatically applying free shipping based on Shopify’s shipping thresholds in Customer Portal
When customers edit their orders, Customer Portal can automatically update shipping rates to match your Shopify free shipping thresholds. This ensures customers always get the right shipping rate based on their updated order total. This feature is disabled by default.
Note: Don't hesitate to reach out to support@cleverific.com if you'd like this feature enabled for your store.
Requirements
- Ensure you've requested this feature to be enabled for your store.
 - Your store has a free shipping threshold set up in Shopify Shipping settings, using Shopify's native shipping rates (for example, “Free shipping on orders over $50”).

- Your free shipping rule is based on order value thresholds, not free shipping discount codes.

How it works
When a customer edits their order in Customer Portal:
- If the updated order meets your store’s free shipping threshold, Cleverific automatically applies free shipping.
 - If the updated order falls below the threshold, Cleverific switches to the cheapest available paid shipping rate.
 - If no threshold change occurs (for example, total stays above or below the threshold), Cleverific keeps the existing shipping selection.
 - Shipping changes don’t apply to partially fulfilled orders.

Note: Updating shipping rates based on order edits is on our roadmap. Keep an eye on our Changelog for updates on new improvements and features!
