Hiding out-of-stock variants on post-purchase offers

In Cleverific, you can hide out-of-stock variants from your post-purchase upsell offers. When this is on, customers only see variants that are available to purchase.

Enable Hide out-of-stock variants

  1. Open Cleverific in your Shopify admin.
  2. Go to Customer Portal in the left navigation.
  3. Under Allowed changes in the Customize order editing section, make sure Customers can change item variant (size, color, etc) is enabled.
  4. Enable Hide out-of-stock variants from the variant picker.
  5. Click Save in the top bar.

How customers see your offers

Product with some out-of-stock variants Only in-stock variants appear. The first variant is preselected. All variants appear. Out-of-stock ones are labeled "(out of stock)" and can't be added.
All variants are out of stock The offer is entirely skipped. The funnel moves to the next step automatically. All variants appear, labeled "(out of stock)." Adding any of them is blocked.
Single-variant offer, variant out of stock The offer is entirely skipped. The funnel moves to the next step automatically. The variant appears, labeled "(out of stock)." Adding it is blocked.

Note: Inventory is checked in real time when a customer sees the offer. The "Hide out-of-stock variants" option is only available when "Customers can change item variant" is enabled.
