Changing shipping speed or shipping rate
If your customer changes their mind about when they want to receive their order or if your workflow consists of adding shipping after the order is placed, you can use Cleverific to add or change the shipping method. Here’s how to do this.
Change shipping speed or shipping rates
- Open the order for which you’d like to change the shipping speed in your Shopify Admin.
- Click More Actions > Edit Order.
- On the editing screen, scroll down to the totals section and go to the Shipping line.
- Click Add Shipping and select your rate in the dropdown menu. You can also manually enter a shipping rate or speed.
- Click Save. If the change in shipping cost increases the total cost of the order, then you can Send a Payment Request to collect the additional money owed from your customer.
Note: You can change the shipping method or speed in Cleverific's Quick Mode as well.
Carrier-calculated shipping rates
When adding or modifying shipping on an order, Cleverific can pull in your available carrier-calculated shipping rates set up in your Shopify settings.
Shipping rates are calculated based on your shipping zones, order weight, and package size; and exactly match what's offered to customers in your online checkout.
Known limitations
Currently, Cleverific doesn't have the ability to read multiple shipping lines. It will automatically default to the first shipping line on your order. If your order has a financial status as paid, this will lead to a refund.
Our best recommendation is to combined all shipping rates into one shipping line to ensure the correct amount is recorded on the order.
