Preventing Cleverific from returning items to stock

There is an override setting in Cleverific's Advanced Mode that prevents all of the line items from your original order from being returned to stock upon editing.

Do not return to stock setting

This is an override setting that will prevent an out-of-stock product from momentarily appearing as in-stock in your store. In some cases, this may trigger a notification email to customers waiting to purchase that item.

Steps

  1. In your Shopify Admin, select the order you want to edit.
  2. On your order page, click More action > Edit Order.
  3. In Advanced Mode, make any necessary edits.
  4. Scroll down to the Settings section toward the bottom of the editing screen.
  5. Click Edit.
  6. Check the box next to Do not return to stock

  1. Click Save.

When this setting is enabled

  • The items you removed from your order in Cleverific won't get back into stock. 
  • The items on the original order won't be restocked when this order is cancelled and superseded by the newly edited order.
