Introduction to order automation with Cleverific + Shopify Flow

Cleverific's Shopify Flow integration allows you to create powerful, automatic editing workflows using Flow. You can add free gifts after checkout based on flexible custom rules and split bundles to component items to improve the accuracy of order fulfillment. You can also automatically duplicate orders created by third-party apps to allow order editing.
Shopify Flow integration is available on all of Cleverific's plans.
Create your first automated workflow
When creating a workflow in Flow, in Actions > Cleverific Order Editor, you can see the following 3 actions that your workflow can perform:
Duplicate order
Edit and add items
Expand bundles
Edit and add items action
This action allows you to add one or more free items to an order automatically after the order has been placed by your customer. You can specify which items you want automatically added using Edit Actions in Cleverific.
Edit Actions are preconfigured sets of items with customized pricing and quantities to be added to an order when triggered by a Shopify Flow workflow.
Once you've created an Edit Action, it must be added to your workflow via the Edit and add items action in Shopify Flow. When the workflow is saved and activated, Cleverific will automatically start processing orders that meet your workflow criteria.
Note: The promo item won't be displayed at checkout or in the order confirmation. This is because the workflow only runs after the order has been created and the order confirmation sent. You'll still be able to see the free item added to your order in your Shopify Admin.
Expand bundle action
This action allows you to expand your bundles into their individual SKUs automatically. Bundles can be set up in Cleverific by choosing the main bundle item and the components you'd like your bundle to expand to.
Once you've created your bundle, it must be added to your workflow via the Expand bundle action in Flow. When the workflow is saved and enabled, Cleverific will automatically start processing orders that meet your workflow's trigger and condition(s).
Note: When your bundle expands into its individual SKUs, the main bundle item will remain on your order, and the individual SKU prices will be zeroed out.
Duplicate order
This action duplicates your order, allowing you to bypass Shopify's limitations with orders created by third-party apps, such as order editing.
Limitations
Due to limitations in the Shopify platform, orders created by other third-party apps cannot be edited by Cleverific's Flow integration. When Cleverific detects orders created by these other apps, they will be tagged and then skipped over.
Note: Cleverific's Flow integration can edit subscription-based orders placed with Recharge and other subscription apps available on the Shopify App Store, as these orders are now directly created through Shopify Checkout and not a third party.
