Allowing customers to add or edit a gift note in Customer Portal

In Cleverific, you can let customers add or update a gift note on their order after checkout, directly via Customer Portal. Once saved, the gift note is written on the order details page in Shopify and appears on packing slips.
Enable gift notes
Go to Apps > Cleverific.
Click Customer Portal in the side nav menu and navigate to the Customize order editing section.
Enable Customers can add a gift note to their order.
Under Gift note format, choose the preset that matches your packing slip or gift app.
If you selected Custom, enter the exact attribute key your packing-slip template reads.
Click Save in the top bar.
Once enabled, a gift note field appears in Customer Portal for all unfulfilled orders. Customers can type a message (up to 200 characters), save it, and update it at any time before the order is fulfilled. The field pre-fills on return visits so they can see and edit the note they already saved.
Note: This feature is available in both the Card with buttons and Accordion view layouts.
How the note appears in Shopify
Cleverific writes the gift note in two places regardless of format:
As an order custom attribute using the key from your chosen format preset
As a "Gift message: …" line appended to the order's note field in Shopify Admin
Known limitations
The Gift note feature will only appear in Customer Portal on unfulfilled orders.
Re-editing a gift note replaces the previous note rather than duplicating it.
