Treating customers as tax exempt

When making decisions about sales tax on Shopify, you can use Cleverific to treat your customer as tax-exempt specifically. This article will show you how.
Treat customers as tax-exempt
This feature is only available in Advanced Mode.
Steps
1. Select the order from your Shopify order list.
2. On the order page, click More Actions > Edit Order.
3. At the top right corner of your editing screen, check the box Treat customer as tax exempt
4. Navigate to the Totals section at the bottom of your order. You will notice that the taxes have been removed.
5. Click Save.
Note: If the order was already paid, removing the taxes will lead to a refund due. If this is the initial edit of your original order, the refund will be automatically issued. Read more about refunds here.
