Re-offering the most or least expensive item from the customer's order
Updated today
In Cleverific, you can set an upsell offer to re-offer the item a customer just bought, choosing their most or least expensive item at a discount. It works well for consumables, gifts, and everyday essentials, where a second unit makes sense.
This option is available when you add an offer, and it is not selected by default.
Set up an Item from the order offer
Go to Apps > Cleverific.
From the nav menu, click Upsells.
Open the funnel, then click the pencil icon on an offer to open it. You can also double-click the offer.
Next to Product, click Item from the order.
In Which item, choose Most expensive item in the order or Least expensive item in the order.
Enter a discount percentage.
Click Save in the top bar.
You can click Pick a product to go back to choosing a fixed product anytime.
The Item from the order option isn't available on Grid or Carousel funnels.
How the product is picked
The product is picked for each order at checkout, by the price paid per unit. A line of 4 mugs at $20 each ranks below a single $70 hat, even though the mug line totals more.
Customers see the exact variant they bought, with no variant picker.
Items bought on a subscription are never re-offered.
When nothing can be re-offered, the step is skipped and the customer follows the funnel's If declined path.
When you choose Item from the order, Require confirmation to accept is checked automatically, so a second tap prevents accidental duplicate purchases. The offer also doesn't have a Product description or a Show even if it's already in the order option, because the item comes from the order.
What your customers see
The offer shows the item they bought at your discount. On a multi-step funnel, a decline step can re-offer the same item at a deeper discount, for example, 20% off first, then 30% off.
On a single-page funnel, two cards that land on the same item will only show it once.
Known limitations
Only percentage discounts are available. Fixed-amount discounts aren't supported on an Item from the order offer.
There's no fallback product when nothing can be re-offered.
Customers always get the exact variant they bought. Offering a different size or color of the same product isn't available.
